Deakin's online MBA has been ranked first in Australia by the prestigious university rankings organisation, QS.
The world's most comprehensive ranking of online and distance learning MBA programs, the decision was based on 18 indicators including employer reputation, work experience of the students studying, accreditation and completion rate.
The online MBA was also the only Australian program to make the global top 25 list and MBA Program Director, Dr Colin Higgins attributes this success to Deakin's solid investment in online learning, one of the features rated consistently high by students and employers alike.
'Our MBA is designed to fit around you. We know you're busy, but we also know you want to invest in your career. You can study with us online and have the same quality learning experience as those who study with us face to face.
'It's great to have this strategic priority in online learning recognised by QS,' he says.
Online MBA courses are becoming increasingly popular among students around the world, with QS noting that the percentage of MBA applicants interested in online or distance programs has more than tripled over the last eight years.
Dr Higgins says that in order to cater to this increasing demand for flexible study options, Deakin has built the 'Worldly MBA' around the realities of global business today.
'We all have to work across the globe to get work done. The Deakin MBA not only teaches about working globally, but our online platform enables you to build real skills in this area – every day and with every assignment.
'At any one time, studying online with us means you're studying with students in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and London,' Dr Higgins says.
The Deakin MBA offers a wide range of study options and with more than 20 specialisations, you have access to unrivalled opportunities for self-fulfilment and development.
Deakin University has also been recognised internationally by the prestigious university ranking system QS.
