This month we looked at how workplace leadership struggles could be discussed and solved in different ways.
Our Leadership Development Roundtable Challenge presented a unique scenario outlining the desire of a female worker, Loan, to receive a promotion and move up in the leadership ladder. Loan’s application for a promotion has been rejected a few times, and she’s struggling to prove herself to her line manager.
Four of DeakinPrime’s leadership experts were called on to give their advice on what a person in Loan’s situation could do in order to be promoted. All four experts gave answers that differed greatly in their perspective on how Loan could improve her situation. What the Leadership Development Roundtable Challenge taught us was that there is no single path towards leadership - there are many actions and courses we can take in a situation to prove ourselves to others.
