Leading the way
Deakin University is forging a new path both locally and globally as a leading provider of innovative learning and a positive university experience. We are proud to be in the top three per cent of universities across all three of the major international university ranking systems (the Academic Ranking of World Universities, Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings), assessed from 17,000 universities worldwide.
The Deakin online MBA is ranked among the top 20 in the world and the best in Australia
Deakin University’s online (distance) MBA has been ranked in the world’s Top 20 – and the best in Australia - by the prestigious international university ranking analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
The QS Distance Online MBA Rankings for 2016 rates the world’s 30 strongest distance online MBA programs. Deakin’s MBA was ranked in 16th place, up from 21st in 2015, and the only Australian program to make the list.
Innovation and partnerships awarded
We’ve won the prestigious Australian University of the Year award twice for the innovative use of technology in education and for our partnerships with industry.
In 2014 Deakin was the only Australian University winner at the inaugural Wharton-QS Stars Awards 2014: Reimagine Education, the 'Oscars' of innovation in higher education. This was based on the success of our first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and the subsequent development of pioneering digital learning environments across the University.
Deakin's current achievements include:
